Bloom where you are planted. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Jennifer visited and fell in love with Tucson after graduating from college, and she's been here ever since. She believes in investing in the community, helping others and taking action to build the kind of world she wants to live in. ​ With the belief that many people are lonely and long to be in relationship with others, she set about creating neighborhood traditions; opportunities for people to gather, contribute and connect. She developed welcome coffee's, progressive dinners, themed cocktail parties, a Facebook group and a neighborhood listserv. She also established the Holiday Luminaria night which has lit the streets of Indian Ridge with over 8,000 white bags and candles since 2000. Motherhood brought Jennifer into the world of chronic illness and developmental disabilities. Influenced by her children, Jennifer has worked to improve the lives of those in the greater Tucson area. When her son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, Jennifer served on the local Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Board of Directors and created Type 1 Tucson, a private facebook group for people touched by T1D. When her daughter with autism was struggling and there were no specialized educational options, she co-founded the Abbie School for students with Autism and related disabilities. ​ While at Abbie School, Jennifer created programs and helped countless people understand and obtain the funding and services needed to access education and supports for their family. She wrote grants, performed outreach and developed relationships in the community. She is currently working on independent living and employment programs for adults on the spectrum. Jennifer found Medicare in 2000 when her late husband became too sick to support his Medicare clients. Instead of just advocating for individuals with disabilities and chronic illness, she is now advocating for you. She is an independent insurance agent licensed and appointed with numerous insurance companies. She meets each individual with empathy and compassion and loves educating and advising people on their options. It is her privilege to enroll and support you with your insurance needs. She often speaks to community groups about Medicare, Social Security and issues facing the autism community. ​ When she isn't working, you can find Jennifer practicing pilates, walking with friends, spending time with family and volunteering with Angel Charity for Children. She is remarried to Tom, and is living a beautiful life.
